 A LITTLE COMFORT

Hello everyone, The other morning my granddaughter and I walked outside into my rose garden and I saw something under the ironwork table. I told her to run back into the house and get me a towel. I knew it was a baby bunny. I thought that it was alive and injured. When she returned we found that it was dead. I wrapped him in the towel and set him up where the dogs couldn't get him until my husband could bury him. I noticed an indention in the straw under my roses. It was a few feet from where I found the bunny but right beside two clay bunnies that are in my flowerbed. I hope that the frightened little rabbit had a time of solace there, even if his comfort was but for a little while. We can not explain why things happen. We can only treat others, including our animal friends, with kindness and respect. I hope my granddaughter learned that from the experience.
Hope everyone has a good week. Smiles, Sharona

 HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Hi, Let me begin by saying that I'm not much of a gardener. I have a small rose garden that has really been neglected this summer. I say I'm going to do better, but then....You know how it goes. The garden I refer to today is our garden of emotions. We do own our emotions. We plant them in fertile soil, add all the right nutrients and dream of glorious bloomings. But, is the soil of our being really fertile? How were the earlier harvests? What nutrients were inherent and what did we add? Even with the best conditions there are still things beyond our control that will interfer with the outcome. Blood, sweat and tears may not be enough for a good crop. Let's all sprinkle a little hope around and see what happens. What are you cultivating in your garden? Smiles, Sharona

 July Already??

Boy times does fly!! I can't believe it is already July! I haven't been here in some time now and I think it is time for an update. I talked with my biological mother Wednesday night. She wasn't cold, but she wasn't warm and fuzzy either. She answered some of my questions but could not tell me what I most wanted to know. She says that she does not know the name of my biological father! I find that hard to believe. But, she admitted to being wild as a teen and really does not know his name. I can either accept this or I can believe that my adopted father, who claimed paternity, is really my biological dad. I choose the latter. I can only say that now I have closure. I don't really have any further reason for contact with her, not that she asked for any. I have medical information and some biological background. This is the end of it for me. It has been an emotional week, but I'm ready to bounce back into the stream of things. Glad to be back among friends. Smiles, Sharona
